What if the whites were the ones treated unfairly? Do you think that gaining rights for whites during the civil rights movement would have been more successful or less successful?

I think it would be more successful because there are more whites in America than blacks. There are 73.9% or 221.3 million whites in the US and 12.4% or 37.1 million African Americans according to the 2000 census. If there are more whites than blacks shouldn't the whites have a higher support for civil rights?

I think it would of ben the same because it doesent matter what color you are. And back in the old days it mattered what color you were untill they finally agreed it doesent matter whatcolor you are and thats wahat i think.
I think it would be the same as when Martian Lewther King was alive like when blacks had to give up their seats on a bus for whites and in stead of blacks giveing up their seats whites would give up their seats.
I think the Civil Rights Movement would have been more sucessful if the whites were the slaves becuase there are more whites than blacks.So they probably would of had it easier than the blacks when they were slaves.

I think it would be more successful because like jonathan! on top of me hear says that there are more whites than any other race in the U.S.
